Small Steps forward after a rough 2024 (Part 2)

Happy MonYAY everyone! I hope this weekend brought you some joy and rest.

If you’re still feeling the weight of 2024, you’re not alone. It’s tough to move forward after a year that left you drained, disappointed, or even doubting yourself. But here’s the thing: moving forward doesn’t require perfection, and it doesn’t happen overnight. Small, intentional moves can create meaningful progress.

In Part 1, we talked about starting with prayer, taking steady actions, and focusing on one thing at a time. Today, we’re diving into more ways to step into 2025 with grace, intention, and purpose. You ready?

4. Celebrate the Small Wins

When you’re recovering from a rough year, every step forward matters. Don’t wait for the “big moment” to celebrate progress—acknowledge the small wins that show you’re not staying stuck.

Here are a few examples that I know are worth celebrating:

  • Showing up for work even when you didn’t feel like it.

  • Hitting send the email that you were nervous to write.

  • Making it through a hard day without breaking down.

  • Saying “yes” to rest when you need it.

Every little victory is proof that you’re making progress. Celebrate them, no matter how small they seem, because they do  matter.

5. Lean Into Grace, Not Perfection

2024 may have left you with regrets, mistakes or failures, but the fact is that God’s grace is bigger than all of it.

Stop waiting for the “perfect” time to start. Life isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up with faith and trusting God to fill in the gaps. Let God’s love for you and His grace be the foundation for every step you take in 2025.

Remember, you’re not defined by your past or your missteps. Grace gives you the freedom to move forward without the weight of perfection holding you back.

6. Surround Yourself with the Right People

You don’t have to navigate 2025 alone. Who you surround yourself with matters, and having the right people in your corner can make all the difference.

Surround yourself with people who:

  • Speak life into you and encourage you when you’re feeling low.

  • Hold you accountable to your goals without judgment.

  • Celebrate your wins, no matter how small.

  • Pray with you and remind you of God’s promises (THIS!)

Having a strong support system can help you stay consistent, find encouragement, and keep moving forward, even when the path feels tough.

Moving forward after a tough year isn’t about massive leaps or overnight transformations—it’s about taking small, steady steps that remind you you’re not staying stuck.

Celebrate the wins, lean into grace, and surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you. 2024 may have been rough, but 2025 is an opportunity to keep going and trust that God’s plans for you are still good.

We’ve got this because God’s got us!. Let’s take this journey one step at a time, together.

Much Love,

Natalie
