Dropping the F-Bombs, One at a Time – Part 4: Fatigue

Unlike fear, frustration, or failure, fatigue doesn’t always announce itself loudly. Instead, it sneaks up on you, slowly draining your energy, your motivation, and even your joy. One day you’re pushing through, handling everything on your plate, and then suddenly—you hit a wall. Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually.

If you’ve been running on fumes, feeling exhausted no matter how much you rest, or struggling to find the energy for what matters most, this one’s for you. Because fatigue is more than just feeling tired—it’s a warning sign that something needs to change.

So what’s the problem with Fatigue?

This F-Bomb doesn’t just impact you physically. It can affect pretty much, everything.

  • It clouds your judgment

  • It weakens your faith

  • It magnifies small problems.

  • It steals your joy

  • It disconnects you from God.

What Can You Do Right Now?

  1. Recognize the Signs – Are you emotionally drained? Physically worn out? Irritable? Your body and spirit send signals—pay attention to them.

  2. Give Yourself Permission to Rest – Rest is not laziness. Even Jesus rested. You simply cannot pour from an empty cup.

  3. Reconnect with God – Fatigue isn’t just physical; it’s spiritual too. Get back into His presence and let Him renew your strength.

Remember God’s Word

  • Matthew 11:28 (NIV) – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

  • Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) – “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.”

Pray About It

God, I come to You feeling exhausted. I’ve been pushing, striving, and trying to do it all, but I need Your strength. Help me to rest—not just physically, but spiritually. Remind me that I don’t have to carry everything alone. Fill me with Your peace and restore my energy.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fatigue is real so you have to make sure to give yourself the grace to rest, the wisdom to set boundaries, and the faith to trust that God can carry what you can’t. That right there is how you drop this F-bomb and pick up true rest!

Much Love,
