Hey There!

I’m Natalie Pickett—a joy-filled encourager, writer, and speaker who believes that the small things in life can bring big joy and meaningful growth. Whether I’m sharing a story, a strategy, or something simple that made me smile, my heart is to help women and girls grow through what they go through—with faith, joy, and purpose along the way.

I’ve always loved to teach (I started with my stuffed animals!). That early passion led me into the classroom, where I spent 13 years as an elementary school teacher. Over time, my role expanded into mentoring and coaching teachers, which opened the door to the corporate education space, where I’ve had the opportunity to support districts and organizations across the country. My work has included leading trainings, facilitating professional development, and helping educators grow at every level so they could pour into children and families. I’ve worked with New York City Schools, the South Carolina Department of Early Childhood, United Way of Greater Nashville, and DC Public Schools to name a few.

I hold a B.S. in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, an M.S. in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. I’m also a certified speaker, trainer, and coach with the John Maxwell Team.

Today, my work continues through training, writing, and creating content that helps people live and lead with faith, integrity, and joy. I’m the founder of S.E.M.P.LY Girls, a movement that empowers tween girls to embrace confidence, character, and purpose. I also share encouragement and everyday inspiration through Oh So Natalie, a lifestyle space where joy meets real life.

I’ve been married to my husband, Reggie Pickett, for 21 years, and together we’re raising three incredible sons—two in college and one in high school (when did that happen?!). I’m also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and grateful to serve in Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where I continue to pour into families and community.

Whether I’m writing a blog, preparing for a workshop, or just wandering the aisles of TJ Maxx (ha!), I’m committed to showing up with purpose and joy, every step of the way.
